Trelew Gaiman Dolavon

Phew, my background reading into Patagonia and it’s  history is slightly different to my experience of visiting these towns and villages .

Gaiman is the Welsh village ,along with Dolavon. Trelew is a huge town 100,000 population and it’s business reflects its size . There is the Welsh flag, Saint David community hall , the 100 year old commemorative statue but I felt it was in Gaiman that Welsh was living its life .

The museum at Trelew had one of the finest display of Tehulche, Welsh ,Italian early settlers pieces that I’ve seen . It’s located in the old railway station . The history of the railway from Puerto Madryn to Trelew seems to pop up everywhere. The stations , rails and engines remain in various places with notices if the hard work to build it .

The dinosaur museum was closed for renovation and to update its display but here is a replica of the dinosaur found on the trelew to puerto madryn road.

Gaiman also had a gorsedd .
