Adiós Villa La Angostura
The day to move on was decided by the weather charts . Sunday was sunny and Monday cooler windier and in some places rain . So it’s better to enjoy the sun and travel while the weather is poorer. So a Monday getaway it was.
Day trips from VLA.
To puerto Manzana. I thought there was a village here but it turned out to be access to a circular wooded route around the playas. There was one cafe built in the woods which I had an empanada and torta ( like a quiche Lorraine ) . So peaceful at the beaches . Round trip of 3 hours spent through the woods on beaches . A lady I had asked for directions at the omnibus terminal was on the same return bus . When we got off she advised I could walk to
Puerto villa - so we did . On the way down to the puerto who was cycling up the hill . Fernanda with her new group . Happy to see her so I’ve shared the hoppy selfie with the group .
I remembered that we’d cycle through this but didn’t stop to view the beaches. They also had huts with Mapuche artesana, food and stuff. Not a fan a churros but had some on the beach with chocolate running through them . Delicious. A hot day but comfortable.
As I was walking home on a couple of occasions I was returning from the playa at 1700/1800 and others were walking to the playa . Generally it was hotter 1500 to 2000.
Playa Correntoso and Rio Correntoso.
Again took the bus but it was still 2km on dusty road to the playa passing the worlds smallest river . Basically a stretch of water joining two lakes.
This being Saturday i guess had quite a few people , the lake seems too cold for serious swimming . A small wood running alongside with family cluster shading with their BBQ. Nice .
Meeting up with Andy in sports bar , sharing chats and going to the fútbol felt local .
Having the facilities to do the laundry was good and it gave time to plan
